It will help engineering teams investigate issues in real environments with a strong focus on safety, reliability, security, low overhead, and practical AI integration. That means it’s a mix of JVM tooling, program analysis, and AI at the core. This role is a good fit for someone proactive and excited by complex engineering challenges at the intersection of production systems, developer tools, and AI agents.</p> <h2>In this role, you will:</h2> <ul> <li>Design, build, and lead the development of product features.</li> <li>Develop tooling and automation for AI-first engineering workflows.</li> <li>Work on enterprise integrations and deployment scenarios across Kubernetes and cloud environments.</li> <li>Improve reliability, testing, performance, and security for production use.</li> </ul> <h2>We’d like to have you on the team if you:</h2> <ul> <li>Have extensive experience with Java, Kotlin, and JVM systems.</li> <li>Have worked on enterprise backend software, infrastructure, or developer tooling.</li> <li>Are comfortable with Kubernetes and cloud environments.</li> <li>Take ownership, communicate clearly, and move things forward without waiting for perfect specs.</li> <li>Enjoy using AI in development, while validating results with solid engineering discipline.</li> </ul> <h2>We’ll be especially thrilled if you:</h2> <ul> <li>Have experience with debugging, instrumentation, or observability-related tools.</li> <li>Have experience with .NET or Python backend products.</li> <li>Care deeply about developer productivity and engineering quality.</li> </ul> <h2><strong><br>Why join JetBrains?&nbsp;</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Strong base salary.
