Tool and Die Machinist

Location: Laurel Tool and Die Machinist – Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) Key Responsibilities • Machine and maintain tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures • Operate manual and CNC equipment (mills, grinders, lathes) • Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T • Perform part fitting, assembly, and adjustments • Hold tight tolerances (±.0005” or better) • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges • Support tooling improvements and production uptime Required Skills • 2–7 years machining or tool & die experience (or trade school + shop experience) • Working knowledge of milling, grinding, and machining processes • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools • Strong attention to detail and willingness to grow Preferred Skills • CNC setup or editing experience • Toolroom or production support background • Experience with tight-tolerance work • Grinding experience preferred.
