About the Role
Shutout Studios of America, Inc. is seeking an Unreal Engine Developer to contribute to the development of DADE, an open-world narrative experience set in a fictionalized South Florida between 2025 and 2028.
Working within Unreal Engine 5, you will assist with gameplay systems, world-building, environmental development, asset integration, optimization, and other technical aspects of production. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about game development and interested in contributing to a long-term independent project.
Responsibilities
• Develop gameplay systems and features in Unreal Engine 5.
• Create and maintain Blueprint-based functionality.
• Assist with environment creation and open-world development.
• Integrate assets and ensure proper functionality within the project.
• Troubleshoot bugs and technical issues.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance.
• Collaborate with team members remotely.
• Maintain organized project documentation and workflows.
Qualifications
• Experience using Unreal Engine 5.
• Familiarity with Blueprints.
• Understanding of game development pipelines and workflows.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
• Portfolio or examples of prior work preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Unreal Engine C++.
• Experience creating open-world environments.
• Knowledge of optimization and performance profiling.
• Experience with version control systems.
