Software Engineer

A leading aerospace and defence organisation is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This role focuses on developing flight-critical Vehicle Management System (VMS) software for advanced platforms within a mission-driven environment. What You'll Be Doing Develop and maintain architectures, requirements, and algorithms for real-time embedded software systems. Implement and integrate C/C++ software components for flight and subsystem control. Create and execute software development plans, verification plans, and comprehensive test procedures. Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for software domains and system-specific issues. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the improvement of software processes, tools, and metrics. What We're Looking For Strong experience with C/C++ programming for real-time embedded systems. Proven track record across the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience in developing flight-critical or safety-critical software architectures. Ability to lead technical teams and manage product conformance to industry standards. Legally authorized to work in the United States.
