Description
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Development/operations Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $140,600 – $173,100 annually
Responsibilities
Design and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications
Develop public REST APIs for system communication using Python and Node
Implement automated testing strategies across various testing types
Identify and resolve bottlenecks, driving improvements in scalability
Conduct code reviews and advocate for engineering best practices
Troubleshoot complex production issues and document root causes
Maintain thorough documentation related to design and changes
Qualifications
5-8 years of professional experience in software engineering
Proficient in backend development technologies such as Python, Node.js, Go, or C++
Experience with cloud-native environments like Docker and Kubernetes
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design
Experience with RESTful API development and optimization
