Staff, Software Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $140,600 – $173,100 annually Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer challenges Measure and drive decisions using data analytics Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Utilize TDD, BDD, Microservice, and Vertical Slice Architectures in engineering processes Support live applications with proactive monitoring and rapid incident response Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience Solid experience in software engineering Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Passionate about modern technologies and design Proficient in C#, ASP.NET RESTful API design, and modern RDBMS (e.g., MS SQL, Postgres) Experience with modern web UI frameworks such as Angular, React, or Blazor Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement savings plan Paid time off and health savings account Flexible spending accounts Life and disability insurance Tuition reimbursement and support for personal and professional well-being Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
