Java AWS VP (Lead Software Engineer) - GC/USC

Job Title: Java AWS VP (Lead Software Engineer) Location: Jersey City, NJ Visa: US Citizen and Green Card Holders Job Summary We are seeking a Vice President / Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java and AWS to design and deliver scalable, high-performance enterprise applications. This role involves leading development initiatives, driving architecture decisions, and working closely with business and technology stakeholders in a fast-paced financial environment. You will be a hands-on technical leader , contributing to system design, development, and cloud-native modernization initiatives. Required Skills & Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in software engineering (VP-level typically 8–12+) • Strong hands-on experience with: • Java (11+), Spring Boot, Microservices • AWS services (EKS, ECS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, Kafka/MSK) • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture • Strong understanding of System Design & SDLC • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) • Database experience: Oracle, PostgreSQL, NoSQL (Cassandra/DynamoDB) • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, Grafana) • Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
