From meal kits and ready-to-eat meals to specialty offerings like pet food and premium meat and seafood, HelloTech creates the platforms that bring tailored food solutions to millions of customers every month.</p> <p>Our subscription-based, direct-to-consumer model relies on technology at every step, from customer-facing apps and personalisation logic to pricing, forecasting, supply chain</p> <h2><strong>About the role: What's in the box</strong></h2> <p>Good Chop is HelloFresh Group's premium meat and seafood subscription — American-sourced, direct-to-consumer, operating in a competitive market where the experience is the product. The premium positioning is intentional and the aesthetic bar is high.</p> <p>This is a full-ownership role in a startup-paced environment. You'll partner with Product and Engineering on a cross-functional squad — the PM owns the roadmap, you own the UX direction. UX here is a strategic input, not a downstream service.</p> <p>You'll bring T-shaped fluency in research and content — enough to drive lightweight discovery independently and contribute meaningfully to both disciplines. For deeper research and content work, you'll partner with HelloFresh's central UX research and strategy team and content design experts.</p> <h2><strong>What you’ll do: The Recipe</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Consumer UX:&nbsp;</strong>Lead design from concept to shipped product, maintaining accountability for the full consumer experience across touchpoints. You hold a high bar for quality at every stage — from early framing through final execution.</li> <li><strong>Strategy and roadmap influence: </strong>Frame problems before they become briefs. Bring evidence-backed consumer insight into squad planning — challenge priorities, surface opportunities, and influence what gets built. You're a strategic partner in roadmap conversations, contributing to direction from the start.</li> <li><strong>Craft and execution: </strong>Hold a high personal bar across UI, interaction design, motion, and UX writing — and raise the standard within the squad. Use animation and motion as intentional tools, not decoration.</li> <li><strong>Research fluency: </strong>Bring enough research depth to frame questions, run lightweight studies independently, and collaborate meaningfully with HelloFresh's central UX research and strategy team on more complex investigations. Translate findings into design direction — you're a research partner, not a passive consumer of insights.</li> <li><strong>AI-native workflow: </strong>Use AI across the full workflow: synthesis, discovery, rapid prototyping, design-to-code. A working method that lets you move faster and think sharper.</li> <li><strong>Content and UX writing: </strong>Bring enough content fluency to contribute meaningfully to UX copy and brief content design experts when deeper support is needed. Clarity and precision in language are part of your craft bar.</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What you’ll bring: The Ingredients</strong></h2> <ul> <li><strong>Consumer instinct: </strong>You've worked on consumer-facing products and you understand how real people make decisions — to try something, to stay, to leave. You think about retention as a design problem, not a churn-rate metric. Subscription context is a plus. What matters is whether you think about the full lifecycle, not just the next feature.</li> <li><strong>Strategic range: </strong>You define the problem before designing the solution. You've pushed back on a brief, reframed a PM's question, or changed a roadmap priority through evidence. You bring design into the strategy conversation — not because you were invited, but because you built the case.</li> <li><strong>Craft mastery: </strong>High-fidelity UI, interaction design, motion, micro-interaction, UX writing — you hold a high personal bar across all of it. Figma mastery is non-negotiable. You understand front-end constraints well enough to have credible conversations with engineers without hand-holding.</li> <li><strong>Autonomous operation: </strong>You're comfortable owning the full width of the work — strategy, research, execution, content, and stakeholder communication — and energised by the scope that comes with it.</li> <li><strong>Stakeholder communication and alignment:&nbsp;</strong>You present clearly, facilitate alignment across functions, and can run a workshop as confidently as you can ship a screen. You adapt under scrutiny and make the case for your decisions with evidence, not opinion.</li> <li><strong>Research fluency: </strong>You can frame a research question, run a lightweight study, and translate findings into design direction without needing a researcher to drive the process. You know when to go deeper, how to collaborate with research experts, and how to brief an agency when the question demands it.</li> <li><strong>AI-native in practice: </strong>Active use of AI tools in live project work — synthesis, discovery, prototyping, design-to-code.
