Technical Designer (Associate to Senior Level)

Petit Clair is a growing children’s fashion brand known for timeless style, quality craftsmanship, and attention to detail. With a strong direct-to-consumer presence and 8 retail locations, we are continuing to expand our technical design and product development team. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Technical Designer to support the development process from concept through production. We are open to candidates ranging from: Associate / Junior Technical Designers looking to grow Mid-Level Technical Designers Senior Technical Designers with strong factory communication and ownership experience This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of apparel development and thrives in a fast-paced environment working closely with factories, design, and production teams. Responsibilities Include: ✔ Creating and maintaining tech packs, specs, grading, BOMs, and construction details ✔ Reviewing designs and identifying missing or unclear technical information prior to factory submission ✔ Managing communication and follow-up with overseas factories ✔ Owning development timelines from proto through production readiness ✔ Participating in fittings and providing actionable fit comments ✔ Tracking styles, comments, and approvals within PLM systems ✔ Ensuring accuracy, organization, and execution throughout the development process Qualifications: Experience in technical design and/or apparel development Strong understanding of garment construction, fit, and production processes Experience working with overseas factories preferred Proficiency in PLM systems, Excel, and Adobe Illustrator Excellent written communication skills and strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple styles and deadlines in a fast-paced environment ✨ We are especially interested in candidates who are proactive, process-driven, highly responsive, and excited to be hands-on in bringing products to life. 📩 If interested, please apply directly or message me to schedule a conversation.
