About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Google AI Engineer to join our expanding Google Cloud AI engineering team. This critical role involves designing, developing, and deploying production-grade AI systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support our Department of War (DoW) programs. The successful candidate will serve as a technical leader, translating complex mission requirements into secure, scalable AI and machine learning solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including data engineers, platform engineers, and application developers—to ensure that AI solutions are robust, compliant with security standards, and aligned with mission objectives. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on high-visibility projects that directly impact national security and operational efficiency, providing a platform for professional growth and meaningful contribution. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field. Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform services, including Looker, BigQuery, Vertex AI, and related tools. Proven expertise in designing and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Strong understanding of MLOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and data engineering principles. Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, or other relevant ML frameworks. Knowledge of security and compliance standards relevant to government and defense applications. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into technical solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead technical teams effectively. Responsibilities Design, develop, and operationalize AI and ML models on Google Cloud Platform tailored to mission-specific needs. Collaborate with data scientists, platform engineers, and application developers to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions. Implement best practices in MLOps, including model versioning, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Ensure all AI systems adhere to security, privacy, and compliance standards required by government clients. Participate in requirement gathering, system architecture design, and technical reviews. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and cross-functional teams. Continuously evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve system performance and capabilities.
