Job Overview
The Senior Product Owner is a strategic leader responsible for delivering significant customer value by guiding the development and implementation of products that align with the company's vision. This role demands a strong focus on product ownership, strategic planning, and the leadership of large-scale implementations across the organization. The ideal candidate will effectively balance the needs of product development with advanced facilitative leadership to ensure efficient delivery and continuous improvement.
This is a hybrid position, requiring three days per week in our Nashua, NH headquarters, depending on location.
Responsibilities
Product Ownership
• Lead collaboration with Product Managers and Technical Product Managers to refine and prioritize the product backlog.
• Translate strategic goals into comprehensive user stories with clear acceptance criteria and actionable plans.
• Validate and ensure that the delivery of product features aligns with organizational objectives and satisfies customer needs.
• Champion and lead large‑scale product implementations across the company, ensuring seamless integration and adoption.
Leadership
• Develop and communicate a clear development plan, aligning with both customer needs and business goals.
• Facilitate cross‑departmental collaboration to ensure cohesive and efficient product development and implementation.
• Serve as the primary communication liaison between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring alignment with the product vision and implementation goals.
Stakeholder Management
• Manage expectations throughout the product development and implementation lifecycle.
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, addressing any impediments and outlining delivery timelines.
Team Efficiency and Improvement
• Lead and mentor the development team in achieving high performance and continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence within the team.
• Encourage and lead the team in retrospectives to identify strengths, potential improvements, and strategies for effective change implementation.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development or management with a focus on Agile methodologies, feature delivery, and quality assurance.
• Strong leadership and team development skills, with experience in coaching and mentoring product owners.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience in applying them to enhance product development processes.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering features on time and ensuring high product quality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Eligibility Requirements
• This role is open to US Citizens or permanent residents authorized to work in the United States. Rightworks LLC is unable to offer visa sponsorship.
• Due to specific state regulations, we are unable to accept applications from residents of California, Hawaii, or Alaska.
• Relocation will not be offered for this position.
Compensation
Compensation for this role ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience.
