As Senior Software Engineer on the team, you will work on improving application performance, size, battery efficiency, and stability. You'll report to the Engineering Manager on the Consumer App Foundation team.</p> <p><strong>You will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with numerous teams to define and implement plans to improve performance and stability of Roblox client applications across all supported platforms</li> <li>Identify new opportunities, build roadmaps, scope and drive execution of development projects</li> <li>Investigate performance bottlenecks and partner with other teams on their resolution to make our applications run lightning fast on any device</li> <li>Improve performance telemetry to detect and resolve performance regressions</li> <li>Promote best development and testing practices to maintain stability and performance of the application</li> </ul> <p><strong>You have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years&nbsp; in C++, multithreading, and system programming for one or more platforms.</li> <li>Proficiency in performance benchmarking, profiling and optimization</li> <li>Strong expertise working on complex consumer applications for Android, iOS, macOS or Windows</li> <li>Experience with Lua or other scripting languages</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p>For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
