Cloud Architect

Role: Azure Cloud Architect Location: Spring, TX (Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire Overview We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Architect to define, standardize, and codify enterprise cloud infrastructure patterns in a highly regulated environment. This role sits at the intersection of Enterprise Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Security, translating architectural standards into governed, reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) that enables secure, compliant cloud deployments by design. This is a high-impact opportunity to help build infrastructure architecture standards from the ground up within a growing Enterprise Architecture organization. Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Bicep) Governance & Architecture Alignment Security & Compliance by Design Cloud Platform Standardization Cross-Functional Enablement Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure architecture and/or IaC engineering • Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure • Strong experience designing Terraform and/or Bicep modules (pattern and module design, not just usage) • Strong understanding of: • Azure networking (hub/spoke, segmentation, private endpoints) • Identity, security, logging, and monitoring architectures • Experience defining reusable infrastructure standards and patterns • Familiarity with Git-based workflows and versioning strategies Nice to Have • Bicep expertise • Kubernetes experience • Azure Government Cloud experience • Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments
