Full-Time Chief Accounting Officer

The company, a seasoned insurance organization, seeks a Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) to lead all accounting and financial reporting functions. Responsibilities include overseeing GAAP and IFRS reporting, managing audits, enhancing internal controls, and supporting strategic decision-making through financial analysis, budgeting, and risk management. The CAO will drive process improvements, lead systems enhancements, and build a high-performing team while maintaining engagement with regulators, investors, and senior leadership. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 15 years in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in senior leadership at a publicly traded company. A CPA license is required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred. Expertise in SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and GAAP is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to manage change. Travel is less than 10%, and the role reports to the CFO.
