Description

Company Description Cadence OTC is a public benefits company with a primary mission to make safe and effective contraception available to all women. We’re devoted to making essential reproductive health products like the Pill, Morning After Pill, and UTI relief as easy to buy as condoms. Our team is passionate, authentic and flexible. We care about impacts over optics and results over rigid schedules. We challenge assumptions and genuinely love what we're building. If you want to be part of a team that's changing women's health over-the-counter, let's talk. Role Description We are a fast-moving, mission-driven consumer healthcare startup currently marketing OTC reproductive health products. We’re looking for a strategic, growth-oriented VP of Marketing & Sales, with consumer packaged goods (CPG) experience, to scale our established demand generation engine and launch new products. You will be stepping into a business with a strong brand character, national retail footprint, active market campaigns, and an established brokerage network. Your mandate is to step in and immediately build on this foundation. You are the owner of our commercial business. As our senior commercial leader, you will be directly accountable for optimizing channel-level ROI and scaling the brand to hit aggressive hyper-growth targets. You will bring the senior strategic weight necessary to manage complex external partnerships and present directly to our Board of Directors, while running close enough to the business to ensure excellent execution in a hand-on startup environment. What You’ll Own • Scale & Optimize Demand Gen: Oversee and maximize our existing demand generation engine across digital and social marketing channels. • High-Stakes Partner & Broker Management: Serve as the primary strategic anchor and manager for our external creative agencies and national broker networks. You will be responsible for driving accountability, elevating partner performance, and ensuring our brokers are aggressively supporting our retail velocity goals. • Performance Media & ROI Optimization: Lead performance marketing strategies, including expanding our media networks and driving rigorous channel-level ROI analysis. • Retail Velocity & Distribution Growth: Partner with sales leaders to protect and expand distribution velocity, leveraging data to increase and optimize our store footprint, and support critical trade events like NACDS TSE. • Brand Voice & Benefit Communication: Own the evolution of our brand messaging. Deepen consumer insights to refine how we communicate product benefits to consumers as well as mass, drug, and convenience channel audiences. • Financial & P&L Stewardship: Full ownership of the commercial P&L, quarterly forecasting, and annual business planning in lockstep with Finance and the CEO. Skills & Experience • 10–20 years in marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role (Director or VP) within the CPG space. • Demonstrated success managing broker networks, retail sales partners, and external agencies for CPG. • Extensive experience with media networks, programmatic advertising, and paid social. • Strong financial fluency, including full P&L ownership, budget stewardship, and forecasting. • Exceptional communication skills, experienced in presenting strategic growth plans to executive and senior leaders. • Mission-Driven Resilience in Women’s Health: You possess a genuine passion for advancing women's health, a rewarding but uniquely challenging sector. You are comfortable navigating industry pushback, and you have the patience, empathy, and strategic grit required to continuously reframe the conversation and successfully sell in our mission to retailers, partners, and consumers.
