Software Engineer II

1. About Our Client: This organization provides a user-friendly photo documentation and productivity application designed for contractors in commercial and home services industries. By offering intuitive functionalities, the application enhances communication and accountability throughout contractors’ businesses, helping users build trust internally and with their customers. 2. About the Opportunity: The Software Engineer II will join the Integrations team to ensure the health and growth of existing integrations. This role involves triaging support requests, maintaining, upgrading, and enhancing integrations across both front-end and back-end systems. The position requires a problem-solving mindset and the ability to navigate ambiguous debugging challenges, contributing to the team’s ability to sustain and improve integration solutions. 3. Responsibilities: • Build new features and enhancements on established integrations based on customer needs and data • Maintain and upgrade existing integrations, including endpoint updates and handling deprecation • Investigate and debug issues using logs and monitoring tools • Employ AI tools to improve debugging and development efficiency • Collaborate with team lead to separate maintenance and enhancement tasks from new integration development 4. Requirements: • Minimum of 1 year professional software engineering experience • Full-stack development skills, comfortable on front end and back end • Strong curiosity and investigative approach to problem-solving • Ability to independently address ambiguous debugging challenges • Effective communication and collaborative attitude • Permanent residence and work authorization in the U.S. Nice to have: • Experience with Ruby on Rails, React • Familiarity with PostgreSQL or SQL • Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog • Experience with AI-assisted development tools 5.
