ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.) Capable of using all inspection equipment. Able to interpret engineering blue prints, CAD/CAM systems, safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Completes machining of parts to blueprints, sketches, and CAD.
Performs all standard inspection on equipment to ensure safety and proper calibrations. Continuously inspects quality and accuracy of work. As production and business dictates this position will provide shop help as needed.
Five years experience on all standard metal cutting equipment Two years machinist training certificate from a community college or apprenticeship Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment. Must have knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment and be familiar with commonly used email, Internet, word processing, databases and spreadsheets. Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials.
Five plus years experience on all standard metal cutting equipment with machinist training certificate.
Experience in Contract Manufacturing and EMS industry desired with an emphasis in supporting an offshore manufacturing facility. The employee will regularly multi-task between projects, be required to move throughout the office building and production floor, and effectively communicate. The normal environment is moderately loud as the production machines are operated throughout the day.
During the regular course of business the production at times may become louder. While performing job duties the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts and is exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
