In this role, you'll serve as the finance partner for our Channel and Engagement Experiences Product teams, driving product investment prioritization and R&amp;D portfolio optimization, while also supporting specific projects for the VP of R&amp;D Finance.</p> <p>You'll help drive financial rigor, unlock growth opportunities, and ensure we're investing resources where they matter most. This role will lead forecasting, financial modeling, and decision support - helping leaders on the R&amp;D team understand return on investment across our product portfolio and make data-driven investment decisions.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>In this role, you’ll:</p> <ul> <li><strong>Establish the standard</strong> for ROI analysis across R&amp;D; lead business case development for new product launches and feature investments to help prioritize the R&amp;D roadmap based on financial returns and strategic value.</li> <li><strong>Translate</strong> long-term product strategy into a sustainable, repeatable financial framework that underpins our Long-Range Planning (LRP) scenarios.</li> <li><strong>Partner closely with R&amp;D leadership</strong> to assess product performance and evaluate roadmap investments over both short- and long-term horizons.</li> <li><strong>Provide strategic financial insights</strong> to guide investment decisions and drive optimal resource allocation across the product portfolio.</li> <li><strong>Collaborate cross-functionally</strong> to identify growth levers, optimize margin drivers, and improve structural cost efficiencies.</li> <li><strong>Oversee the development</strong> of flexible financial models to support ad-hoc analysis, scenario planning, and potential M&amp;A opportunities.</li> <li><strong>Synthesize and communicate</strong> complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for executive stakeholders and cross-functional business partners.</li> <li><strong>Lead, mentor, and develop</strong> a high-performing team of 3 to 4 financial analysts supporting our Engagement and Channel products.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Twilio values diverse experiences from all kinds of industries, and we encourage everyone who meets the required qualifications to apply. We are always looking for people who will bring something new to the table!</p> <p><strong>*Required:</strong></p> <ul> <li>12+ years of FP&amp;A experience in progressive financial roles</li> <li>Strong financial modeling skills, with experience completing product forecasts (revenue &amp; COGS), pricing impacts, and knowledge of common tech industry metrics</li> <li>Experience evaluating product business cases, including customer adoption trends, unit economics, and pricing impacts</li> <li>Excellent business acumen and ability to influence stakeholders with data-driven insights</li> <li>Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and can effectively problem-solve across multiple teams</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience working with Senior Leadership (VP+)</li> <li>Proficiency in financial planning tools (Anaplan) and comfort working with large datasets</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desired:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience</li> <li>Familiarity with API/platform monetization models and usage-based revenue structures&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Location</strong></p> <p>This role will be remote,<em> </em>but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Travel&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>We prioritize connection and opportunities to build relationships with our customers and each other. The information below is provided for candidates hired in those locations only.</em></p> <p>The estimated pay ranges for this role are as follows:</p> <ul> <li>Based in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Vermont or Washington D.C. : $171,200.00-$213,900.00.</li> <li>Based in New York, New Jersey, Washington State, or California (outside of the San Francisco Bay area): $181,200.00-$226,500.00.</li> <li>Based in the San Francisco Bay area, California: $201,280.00-$251,600.00.</li> <li>This role may be eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and corporate bonus plan.
