About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid environments. Your expertise will help safeguard our clients’ cloud workloads, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex security architectures, lead vulnerability management initiatives, and respond to security incidents, all within a fully remote setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in cloud security, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
Minimum of 5 years of cloud security experience, with strong hands-on expertise in OCI
Deep understanding of OCI Identity, IAM policies, and federation mechanisms
Experience with OCI Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe
Knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks and CIS benchmarks
Proficiency in vulnerability management and patching tools
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP
Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, with experience in Terraform
Ability to integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms for centralized monitoring
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Willingness to work in a remote environment and participate in technical assessments
Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise security architectures for OCI environments, including landing-zone guardrails and security zones
Configure and manage OCI Identity Domains, federation with corporate Identity Providers, and RBAC strategies
Implement and operate OCI Vault for key management, including key rotation and HSM integration
Harden OCI compute, networking, and database workloads based on CIS benchmarks and internal standards
Operate OCI Cloud Guard for continuous detection, response, and remediation of security findings
Configure OCI Logging, Audit, and integrate with SIEM platforms for centralized security monitoring
Implement data security controls using OCI Data Safe, including data masking and sensitive data discovery
Lead vulnerability management initiatives such as image scanning, patching, and remediation tracking
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards through regular audits and architecture reviews
Conduct threat modeling and security assessments for new OCI workloads
Lead security incident response efforts, including containment, investigation, and post-incident analysis
Develop automation tools using Python, Terraform, and OCI CLI/SDK to streamline security operations
Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures
Mentor and provide security guidance to application and infrastructure teams to foster best practices
